Our Mission

The mission of Rogue Swan Theatre Company is to create, produce and present all aspects of the performing arts with our core troupe of performers, who are at the heart of our company. In doing so, we support our members in their artistic endeavors both in and outside the company productions to gain diverse experiences and perspectives.

Rogue Swan encourages the performing arts at large towards harmony in our pursuit of entertainment. We challenge our audience to imagine the unimaginable. We take iconic music and present it in a new way that delights and entertains our audience. In short, we create new experiences and encounters of the imagination for our audience.

Our Values

Creativity

We encourage creativity and self-expression in every member of our troupe.  We add a twist to every show so that audiences can experience art they are familiar with in a new light and with a new perspective. In order to respect each performers artistic expression , we like to connect in a new way with our audience during every performance.

Community

This company is not just made up of musical theatre performers but is a playground for all types of performing artists. Dancers of various specialties, musicians from all areas of life, and aerial performers are just a few of the types of artists that are integrated into our troupe. The diversity of backgrounds and passions in artistry that our members contribute is essential for creating the community of growth and creativity that sets our troupe apart.

Education

Our variety of backgrounds, both personally and artistically, allows us to create an environment for education and growth within our troupe. Our goal is to take that wealth of knowledge and extend it outwards through workshops, camps or classes for those interested in expanding their knowledge not just in musical theatre, but in all the forms of performing arts that are represented within our troupe. We also hope to offer audiences the opportunity to learn about the numerous types of performing arts represented in our company, with the hopes of striking a spark of passion in a new art form.

Respect

Respect is essential to any successful company. We believe in showing respect for each other, a respect for audiences, and a respect for the craft we are performing. Theatre and performing arts are meant to be a safe space, a place where we can explore difficult concepts, grow talent, and embrace who we are. We do not discriminate and encourage different ideas that challenge us and allow us to grow as a troupe, which reflected in every performance we create. No matter how big or how small the production, our goal is to put our heart and soul into each performance, so that the audience comes away with an understanding that we did everything we could to entertain them. We want our audience to look forward to each new production, anticipating an amazing show that will surprise and immerse them into the magic of the performing arts.
